meet and play with fellow Scottish fiddlers; learn from judges who are recognized
experts in the field through workshops and written, personalized competition comments;
and a chance to perform in friendly, relaxed environments.

News Releases for 2009

The NORTH EAST FLORIDA HIGHLAND GAMES,  4th annual Scottish Fiddle workshop and competition will
be held at the Clay County Fairgrounds, near Green Cove Springs, Florida, Feb 28th, 2009. Ed Pearlman of
Portland, Maine wiill conduct the workshop and judge the competittion.  Workshop and Registration will be
from 9 A.M. to 12 noon and the competition will be from 1:P.M. to 3, followed by an open Jam.  There is no
fee for the event except at the gate entrance.
For this to be a sanctioned competition, the SCOTTISH F.I.R.E. rules  will apply.

The Scottish Games Association of Delaware proudly announces the
2009 COLONIAL HIGHLAND REGIONAL SCOTTISH FIDDLING COMPETITION
Sanctioned and Adjudicated by S.F.I.R.E. Ltd.
Competition will be held at the 2009 gathering of the Fair Hill Scottish Games Fair Hill, Maryland, May 16,
2009.  The competition will be operated under the rules of the SCOTTISH F.I.R.E. organization and those of
